Last night Col and I felt like going to a movie. It was kind of last minute, so we took Addie with us. We were hoping that if we went to a movie that started at her bedtime, she'd just sleep right through it. As always, we opted for the dollar movies. We were hoping she'd fall asleep on the drive there, but she didn't. We were then hoping she'd fall asleep in the dark, fairly quiet theater before the movie started, but she didn't.
Imagine my shock when the minute the very loud previews started, she zonked right out. She then slept through the entire movie (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest). Good thing, too. I don't think she'd have liked that Cracken fellow.

We tried only once to take Nathan to a movie - the first Pirates of the Caribbean. Nathan was just about asleep as we walked in (late), right at the beginning of the movie. First loud part in the movie (1 minute into it) and he started crying really loudly, so we had to take him out. Bummer.
That is why I never take David to movies anymore...he can get a little fussy and then I have to take him out.
Actually I am the one with the problem, I start going stir crazy and I can't sit still thinking of all the things I could be doing. If David had it his way we would go to a movie every date night.
Love the hair in this picture. Fabulous, absolutely fabulous.
Fraggle Rock.
Disclaimer:
In no way am I trying to compare your child with a fraggle rock character, but I was trying to think of something the hair reminded me of and this was my thought process...
mohawk
rock music
fraggle rock
...and might I say she looks quite adorable.
Unfortunately, there are a few other things this hair reminds me of.
That is so cute. That's what I did with Alec on the plane last night out here to Cali. I just layed him in the empty seat next to me and he slept the whole way, even the bumpy landing and captain speaking and the hustle and bustle of everyone departing the plane.
What's best though, is that you took a picture with a flasha nd everything IN THE MOVIE THEATER! Aubrey, you kill me!
No way that picture was taken last night. She currently has much less hair on the sides...and she looks so newborn!
Yeah.... she was exactly 23 days old when this photo was taken. I was at work when I posted this, so my picture selection was limited.
I feel so duped. An old picture? And here I was thinking that was the real deal. Aubrey, I think you need to ask your work to get you a hard drive to store all of your pictures on.
And props to Courtney on the detective work
Cameron, when you say "we" had to take Nathan out of the movie--I think you and I stayed and Robyn took him out. The wife/mother always does the right thing, it seems.
