Not a good way to wake up.

Time: 3 a.m.
Light: Pitch Dark

Col: "Do you hear footsteps?"
Me: "No, I don't hear anything."
Col: "It sounded like a woman in high heels was walking around the house."
Me: "What?!"
Col: "Actually... I think you were just biting really loud in your sleep."
Me: "What?!"

It took me over an hour to fall back to sleep.

Classic.

Except that I am usually sent downstairs to check things out before trying to get back to sleep.

I love how Colm was so specific to say it sounded like a woman in high heels.....what if a crossdresser was in your house? What if it was a MAN in heels?

You make an excellent point. Next time I will be much more freaked out knowing that the person in high heels in my living room very well may be a transvestite.

Hey, you always have Adeline there as a first line of defense. She will handle it--she is can clap her hands and have the clapper turn on the lights and scare that person the heck out of there!

Finally, a reason to buy the clapper.

Finally? I thought any reason was a reason to buy the clapper. Promise me one thing. After you get it...I want you to lay in bed with the lights out, then sit straight up and use your entire arms to clap and turn the lights on like in the commercial.
