'Tis not the season yet.

My understanding is that it's generally accepted that "The Christmas Season" begins the day after Thanksgiving. The management company here at work is jumping the gun a little bit... This tree was assembled and lit up yesterday.


Merry Christmas! It's November 14.

I hear ya on this one but I do kinda like that all the stores have Christmas stuff up already. It's festive and cozy and gives me that warm fuzzy feeling....

Our (Griswold) neighbors have a tree in their window and they've been working all week to get their Christmas decorations up. Spencer's threatened to call the HOA on them b/c the rules are 30 days--no earlier!!! BAH HUMBUG.


*The above comment in no way implies that my husband does not like the Christmas season. It does, however, imply that he doesn't like our neighbors.

I agree, unless of course there are actual seasons involved...therefore things can be determined by season, not date. Arizona will always be by date, unfortunately.

Robyn is a big supporter of the pilgrims. She won't even hum a christmas carol until Thanksgiving is over. I believe that the Pilgrims knew Christmas was coming when they had their feast, and might have even put up lights prior to the dinner.
